White outlines a project in which Students participate orally in class and in their research presentations. This builds on skills of collaboration, community, continent and others. The article can be a great read for teachers willing to try alternative ways of teaching history and enhancing their classroom environment.

This article Written by Solomon K. Smith discusses the use of wart games to improve student's engagement when learning about the American revolution. While this article deals with these games on the college level, it could be useful as source of influence in high schools. The article gives a great presentation of the changing expectations students have when it come to learning and how games can help these students be more involved with their own academic achievement.

This article written by Roy N. Lokken, while dated does begin to discuss the changing views that historian have on interpreting the American Revolution. It could be useful for High School history teachers to look at the various ways in which history is viewed, taught and though about historically. It may help teachers in starting to think about new ways to teach and help students learn the American revolution.
