The Novel follows many of the famous figures of history such as John Adams, Ben Franklin and George Washington, exploring not only the journey of these men but their humanity as well. The Novel serves as a great Non-fiction read that can excite students about the American revolution.

Fusiliers follows a British regiment fighting in countless battles during the American revolution. The book is built of off primary sources that allows the authors to give an in depth look into the live and conditions of the Redcoat soldiers and the British army during the war. Not only is this a compelling narrative, but also can be used to study tactics, new leaders and get an in-depth look into the lives of the British fighting in this conflict. 


His Excellency: George Washington by Joseph J. Ellis



His Excellency focuses on the life and character of George Washington the man, the solider, and the President. Joseph Ellis shows his prowess as a brilliant historian as he gives an in depth portrait of the Birth of the United States through our first president. While this is a heavy book and at an advanced level, high school students could use specific chapters to gain a better understanding of specific events, of George Washington's character and how other viewed him. It can also be used to introduce historical thinking and reading against the grain.
